UrlaubCornwall  selected some beaches to take dogs on the south coast of Cornwall. Here are a few of the best:

Coverack – The beach at Coverack welcomes dogs all year to the Lizard Pennisula on the south coast of Cornwall. Coverack is quite a rocky beach but its splendid scenery attracts many families and dog walkers to explore the coastline. You can relax, sunbathe and enjoy the view of the small harbour or hire kayaks to take out on to the sea. There is ample parking in the village and

Whitsand Bay – Four smaller beaches make up the 6km of Whitsand Bay with a mixture of sand and rocks to explore. The beaches are dog friendly all year, with a café on the largest beach Tregonhawke.  Whitsand Bay is in the far east of Cornwall, near to the county border with Devon and the town of Saltash.

Gorran Haven – Near to the small and traditional fishing town of Mevagissey is Gorran Haven. The beach at Gorran Haven is a quiet and peaceful place to visit while on holiday with your dog.

Prussia Cove – This is one of the most famous smuggling beaches in Cornwall, with a notorious history of piracy in the eighteenth century. Today Prussia Cove, near to Penzance, is more famous for the views from the cliffs of Mounts Bay, Kenneggy Beach and the Lizard Pennisula. Dogs are welcome on the beaches and paths and will enjoy the walk along this breathtaking coastline.
