On one of the best dog walks in Cornwall you will discover the true Cornwall…

UrlaubCornwall  recommends a great place to walk dogs away from the usual tourist spots while on holiday in Cornwall with a dog:

“Known by the locals as Polly Joke, it is a beautiful bay which can only be accessed by foot.  It nestles between the West Pentire Headland and the Kelseys  on the north coast and is the place I love to walk with my family and my dogs.

From West Pentire car park and you can look back on your right hand side to the beautiful expanse of Crantock Beach and continue your journey to the end of West Pentire Headland taking in the glorious and unspoilt beauty of the Cornish Coast.  During the summer months keep your eyes peeled for sights of seals and Basking Sharks who enjoy the warm currents and even the occasional dolphin.

When you get to the tip of the headland you can see East Pentire Headland to your right which leads to Newquay and the Kelseys to your left which leads onto Holywell Bay.

If you are feeling adventurous and energetic continue the walk onto to Holywell or Perranporth along the Cornish Coast or complete the circular walk by following the footpath on the left over the bridge and through the campsite.  The locals will be more than happy to give you directions.  Do be aware that there are no shops or toilets on this walk so be prepared.”
