The village sits on the banks of the River Fowey and looks across to ancient woodland.

The impressive staircase leads up to the cottage bedrooms.

Historic Charlestown is a little further down the coast.

This stretch of coastline offers gentle waters and soft sandy beaches.

There are water sports to delight at Polkerris.

The historic house, gardens and parkland at Lanhydrock is well worth a visit (National Trust).

For garden lovers, a trip to The Lost Gardens of Heligan is a must.
