The Maritime Museum offers plenty of other things to see and do amongst its 15 galleries on 5 floors. The museum is a celebration of the past, present and future of seafaring, which has played such an important role in Cornish and British history.<\/p>\n

The majestic sight of boats from every era in the main hall, the hands on activity centre and the underwater Tidal Zone make the National Maritime Museum a great family attraction for any holiday in Cornwall.<\/p>\n

The 2012 BC exhibition takes you back to the Bronze Age, with a reconstruction of a prehistoric boat and rare artefacts found nowhere else in England.<\/p>\n

Then you can see an official Olympic display showing the modern boats at the cutting edge of sailing, which will be competing at the London Olympics in summer 2012.<\/p>\n
